ETJ Ishikawa Group had our 22nd workshop last Sunday with Mark Elwell, the director of
Hakusan International School, and Mari Nakamura, the owner of
English Square, as the speakers.
Mark Elwell shared theories and practice in task based instruction, which he extensively implements at his school using computers while Mari Nakamura discussed how to survive the so-called "Shogakkou Eigo Boom" referring to her own experience as a school owner. Each session was followed by a very active Q and A session where all the attendees discussed related issues in a relaxed atmosphere.
And of course we didn't forget to have fun mingling and networking over drinks and snacks at the tea break!
Our next workshop is planned to be in June/July. I'll keep you updated on this!
